For those of you who don't know, I just finished the first year of my Journalism diploma at Grant MacEwan.
It was a busy year, and I learned a lot of different things.
My best class was in second semester;
Photography.
I got permission to carry around the most beautiful camera I have ever touched,
and learned how to wield its magical powers.
And we actually got to do some pretty fun assignments.
Just wanted to share a few of my favourites.

The Cardston Alberta Temple.
February 2008.

I used my cousin & roomate, Laura, as my model for my very first assignment.
This is 100% her.
Then she took over.

This treasure is just a few blocks away from my house, and it took me five months to discover it.

My friend Justin let me invade his space while he played guitar.

Just a neat shot of his bass.
The best assignment?
Sports photography.

My friend Cade and I went out to a skatepark in Lethbridge.
It was ridiculously windy (Hello, Southern Alberta), but we did the shoot anyways.
My last assignment was a photo story.
I chose to do mine about...
...cookies.

Enjoy!
P.S. And please don't take these photos!
