It's raining them.
Really & truly.
For those of you who don't know, I work outdoors during the summer. I take care of two different properties which are owned by my church. It's wonderful work. I get to be outside, enjoying the sunshine and working up a great (farmers) tan.
Not today.
I got a few good hours of work in before the rain came, and boy, did it come.
I arrived home soaked to the bone.
In other news, I experienced some excellent luck last Friday.
I was planning to buy a youth bus pass; one hundred bones, anywhere in Saskatchewan, all summer long. I turned on the radio to listen to my favourite station; CJTR, the community station. Not long after I started listening, the announcer (who happens to host THE BEST show on Friday mornings) announced that he would be giving away a youth bus pass to the first caller through.
Yup. It was me.
I left for Saskatoon that night, to spend some much-needed time with my dear sister and her family.
We watched movies, shopped, laughed and took a whole lotta pictures. (She's a photographer.)
I babysat the girls on Saturday afternoon while Erin was at a shoot. We watched "Alvin & The Chipmunks" together.
When it was over, Livvy looked at me and said, "Auntie Lauren? I have a great idea."
"Oh yeah? What's that?"
"Let's WRESTLE!"
And, we did.
When Erin got home, Livvy had me on the floor.
In a chokehold.
I love my nieces.
