tennessee

Tonight was my last shift at the retirement home before I head back to the City of Champions for year two.

As I was walking around the dining room, serving buns, I was saying my farewells to all of the fabulous people who live there.
The man in the far corner who always remembers my name.
The lady who insists that I find her the crunchiest bun in my basket.
And last but not least, the man who first introduced himself to me as George Constanza.

Approaching his table, his friend said to me, "Are you new here?"

(Oh, you gotta love working in a retirement home.)

George piped up, "No, she's not! I remember you!
Say, aren't you from Tennessee?"

I fell for it.
Totally & completely.

"Um, no..."

"Oh, 'cause you're the only ten I see!"

Oh dear.
I'm going to miss that place.

love it. but you should have told him that he's waaaayyyy too old for you. seriously ... old men think they can get away with anything, just cuz they are OLD.

i know, i know ... he was a nice guy. i'm just sayin' ;)
