autumn afternoon

The middle of September is one of my favourite times of the year.

It's the end of summer and the beginning of autumn.
The time to say farewell to short sleeves and welcome cardigans.

Wednesday was the epitome of perfection.
I stepped out of my school building around noon, greeted by a warm sun and a brisk breeze;
the best combination.

When I got home, I left my house and enjoyed the afternoon.
I took my camera.

And, a cardigan.

I finally got a chance to explore my new neighbourhood.
She's a beauty.

My roomates and I have moved into a new (to us!) house, one that'll be a century old in less than three years.

Photobucket

It's nestled deep in an old community, full of dog-walkers and flower-lovers.
Our front yard is a jungle, and our back opens up to a quiet alley.
It makes me feel like I'm not even in the city anymore.

And I love it.

Here's a glimpse of what I found.

I just love the juxtaposition of blooming flowers and leaves turning colour.
Gorgeous.
